Crystal Kinnard has had a distinguished healthcare career. She is currently Executive Director of Administrative Operations and Patient Access at Regional One Health in Memphis, Tennessee. As a transformational leader in the areas of Patient Access, she has spent the last seven (7) years providing strategic expertise in ambulatory operations, patient experience and digital innovation. Crystal has also led system-wide initiatives to streamline access to care, enhance operational efficiency and improve patient satisfaction across diverse service lines. With a deep understanding of revenue cycle management, scheduling optimization and workflow redesign, she has successfully implemented transformative solutions that have reduced barriers to care, improved throughput and operationally aligned with industry-leading best practices.
Crystal began her healthcare career in 2009 at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) as the Program Director for the Regional Coordinating Center (RCC) for Hurricane Response. In her role, she oversaw programmatic efforts to restore the healthcare technology infrastructure in the gulf coast region post-hurricane Katrina. Additionally, she served as Associate Director in the formation of the Georgia Regional Extension Center (REC) in the National Center for Primary Care (NCPC) at MSM. It was through her work with the REC that Crystal first began to develop a strategic operational framework to assist healthcare providers in small, rural and underserved communities with adoption, implementation and meaningful use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs). Her expertise helped hundreds of physician practices to improve patient care quality, efficiency and outcomes while reducing healthcare disparities. Crystal’s advocacy for healthcare equity and innovation was most recently recognized by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) as co-author of the 2025 Edgar C. Hayhow Article of Year, “Advancing Equity in U.S. Hospital Systems: Employee Understandings of Health Equity and Steps for Improvement”.
Crystal is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) leadership. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) from Howard University and a Master’s in Education (MEd) from the University of West Georgia. As the Founder and CEO of Crysani & Company, a certified women-owned small business, she has received government sub-contracts to promote and facilitate healthcare transformation through technology and innovation.
