Evelyn Terrell is an accomplished executive and board chair with experience navigating healthcare and business sector intersections, with a passion for board governance, health equity, and cultivating inclusive leadership that reflects the communities we serve. She has a deep understanding of civic, community, and enterprise governance challenges, and has a unique dual perspective as both healthcare system leader and cross-sector board member.
Evelyn currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Strategy and Network Services at Nicklaus Children’s Health System in Miami, FL. With over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, she brings expertise in strategic planning, virtual care, and international operations. Evelyn is known for her expertise in driving innovation and leading transformative programs in pediatric care, aligning institutional goals with patient access, both locally and globally.
She serves as Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Committee and holds board roles with the Health Council of South Florida. Evelyn contributes to advisory boards and as guest lecturer at Nova Southeastern University, Florida International University (FIU), and the University of Miami. She ia also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy (OT) at FIU, advancing education, innovation, and workforce development in healthcare.
Evelyn holds a Doctorate in OT, with a focus in administration, a Master’s in Health Services Administration from Barry University, and a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy from FIU. She is a fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Telemedicine Association.
