Vishal K. Adma, M.D. is a distinguished physician executive, entrepreneur, and board-certified psychiatrist with over two decades of behavioral health leadership experience. After completing his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Dr. Adma built a multifaceted career spanning clinical care, healthcare management, education, and regulatory oversight. As President and CEO of Integrated Psychiatric Consultants (IPC), Dr. Adma has grown the physician-owned, physician-managed behavioral health group into one of the largest independent psychiatry practices in the Midwest region, with over 80 psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Dr. Adma additionally acquired Responsive Centers, a well-established outpatient behavioral health practice based in Overland Park, Kansas. Together, these organizations comprise a multidisciplinary group of mental health and psychiatric providers, serving as trusted partners in integrated care delivery.
Dr. Adma’s clinical and leadership experience spans diverse healthcare settings, including serving as Medical Director at KVC Hospitals, Inc., a subsidiary of KVC Health Systems; Medical Director at Hopewell Center, a community mental health center; and Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City University of Medicine, and the Biosciences and Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. For over a decade, Dr. Adma has served as a Physician Surveyor for The Joint Commission and Joint Commission International, assessing hospital compliance and promoting quality improvement initiatives across behavioral health and medical facilities. A Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Adma holds additional qualifications including a master's degree in nutrition and food management and a certification in Medical Quality from the American Board of Medical Quality. He is a Certified Physician Executive through the American Association for Physician Leadership and proud alumnus of the Leadership Kansas Class of 2021.
Dr. Adma’s excellence and impact have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Dorland Health People Award, a national honor celebrating healthcare excellence; recognition as Professional Leader of the Year (2012) from the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Kansas City; the Excellence in Medicine Award (2018) from the American Telugu Association; a Student Voice Award for dedication to medical education; and recognition as Resident of the Year in Psychiatry. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Adma is a dedicated community leader and advocate for civic engagement, having served on several nonprofit boards, including the Asian American Chamber of Commerce (current), Goodwill of Kansas City, Keys for Networking, Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of Kansas City, and Telugu Association of Greater Kansas City. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and access, Dr. Adma continues to shape behavioral health care delivery with collaborative leadership, entrepreneurial vision, and a passion for improving lives.
