Black Directors Health Equity Agenda
Sana Imam is a social impact entrepreneur and seasoned healthcare operations consultant with a focus on board governance, strategic redesign, and advancing health equity. She is the founder and CEO of Community Healthcare Solution, a healthcare consulting firm that partners with health systems, healthcare startups, and public agencies to lead complex transformation initiatives that center equity, improve outcomes, and drive operational efficiency. Before starting Community Healthcare Solution, she worked across the country with large health systems in urban and rural settings to reduce costs while improving healthcare outcomes during her time at Accenture, Navigant, Guidehouse, Sogeti, Cap Gemini, and Unify Consulting. Sana is dedicated to eliminating economic and health disparities between populations and is committed to improving access to healthcare and education for minority communities, both domestically and abroad.
Sana works closely with the Black Directors Health Equity Agenda (BDHEA), where she leads their Operations team and collaborates with national experts to develop the Health Equity Toolkit with resources such as playbooks focused on advancing health equity in the boardroom. In this role, she supports board education, governance transformation, and cross-sector strategy aligned with equitable care delivery.
Sana is also a healthcare policy advisor to local and state governments. She frequently facilitates sessions with legislators to build understanding of healthcare infrastructure, funding models, and policy levers that can advance health equity. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the South Florida Arthritis Foundation and the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Young Ambassadors, and previously held board roles with Move Montgomery and Mile High Youth Corp in Denver.
Outside of her professional work, Sana is passionate about cultural expression and wellness—she teaches Bollywood hip hop fusion dance classes in Miami, FL, building community through movement and joy. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Health in Community Health and Prevention, and Health Policy and Administration, from Drexel University.
