MAJ Cherie Jennings is a U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps officer, currently assigned to the 328th Field Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was commissioned in 2002 via direct commission and served on active duty until 2009. During her active duty service, MAJ Jennings deployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2005 and 2007, providing critical nurse anesthesia and operational support in austere environments.
Her military education includes the AMEDD Officer Basic Course, Captains Career Course, and Intermediate Level Education. MAJ Jennings awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.
MAJ Jennings returned to the Army Reserve in 2022 and continues to serve as a 66F Nurse Corps officer. From December 2024 to May 2025, she served as Lead Planner and Officer-in-Charge for IRT Nimipuu Wellness in Lapwai, Idaho, a large-scale medical readiness and community engagement mission. Under her leadership, the team provided medical, dental, and ophthalmology care to over 700 patients, completing more than 2,800 procedures valued at $387,030.46.
In her civilian career, MAJ Jennings works full time as a nurse anesthetist at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls, Montana. She is also an entrepreneur and certified menopause lifestyle practitioner specializing in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), partnering with a medical spa to provide hormone optimization services.
