Herd has over 25 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. He began his career working for health systems and has been a consultant since 2007. His fields of expertise include business valuation, compensation valuation, healthcare revenue analysis, and financial planning and analysis. He also works with healthcare clients to assist with managed care contract analysis and negotiation. Herd’s list of clients includes, large multi-hospital health systems and hospitals, physician groups, attorneys, and healthcare entrepreneurs.
After graduating from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Herd went on to earn his Master of Business Administration at Southern Methodist University. He has worked for Texas Health Resources and Baylor Healthcare System, where he gained experience in managed care contract analysis, charge master standardization, and hospital front-end collections processes. Prior to joining JTaylor, Herd worked at Triad Hospitals, Inc., where he performed due diligence reviews, pro forma development, and valuation support for hospital and physician practice acquisitions.
Herd is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and is a Certified Valuation Analyst.
