Shirlene Evans is a dedicated CareerCOACH™ with a mission to empower individuals from underrepresented groups, particularly women, to unlock their inherent potential and thrive in their careers. With a rich background as a Technical Project Leader, Mentor, and Coach, Shirlene leverages her extensive experience and passion to help clients navigate their professional journeys successfully.
Since joining CareerCOACH Services in June 2022, Shirlene has been instrumental in providing transformative coaching services, focusing on aligning clients' passions with their career goals. Her approach is characterized by a partnership model that emphasizes connection and collaboration, ensuring clients feel comfortable and supported throughout the coaching process.
Shirlene's coaching philosophy centers around helping clients uncover the power of aligning their passion with their purpose. She believes in the importance of early exposure to career coaching, particularly for individuals in underrepresented groups, to enhance career success and build emotional resilience. Shirlene's personable style and lived experiences as a woman in technology uniquely qualify her to support those who are ready to thrive in their careers.
With over 17 years of consulting experience, Shirlene became a sought-after leader, known for her ability to develop and support high-performing teams. In 2023, she transitioned to running her own career coaching practice and became a certified Culturally Competent Life Coach. Her proudest achievements include leading teams to win prestigious awards at Slalom Consulting and mentoring numerous individuals to achieve their career goals.
Shirlene holds an MBA in International Business from Pepperdine University. She is an ICF Associate Certified Leadership Coach, holds a SAFe Agilist Certification, and an AWS Certification, and continues to stay current with Business Executive Education.
Actively involved in mentoring through organizations such as AnitaB.Org and Every Girl Shines, Shirlene has also contributed to several non-profits in Seattle through skills-based volunteering, helping to improve their technology infrastructure and volunteer programs. One of Shirlene's notable success stories involves a client who, through Shirlene's guidance, aligned her skills with her passions and secured her dream job.
