Alicia is a mission and values driven leader who has built and nurtured high-performance teams for over 20 years in health care. She has led complex health care organizations through transformational change in for-profit, nonprofit, community and academic settings. Alicia is lauded for her ability to engage and empower teams to maximize their potential.
As president of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH), Alicia has oversight of all aspects of the health system including its hospital and affiliate operations, research, academic and physician enterprises, as well as the foundation. Alicia leads the vision and strategy of the organization, and the expansion of its mission through treatment, education, research and advocacy. Over Alicia’s tenure at JHACH, the organization has achieved its strongest performance results in the organization’s history and the organization has been ranked the #1 children’s hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report and has achieved its second Magnet Designation.
Prior to JHACH, Alicia was the president of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital (PMCH), and a statewide pediatric service line leader for Ascension, St. Vincent in Indiana. Before taking the helm at PMCH, Alicia served in positions of increasing responsibility for nearly a decade at Indiana University Health, culminating as president over three hospitals in the North Suburban Area. Her past roles at Indiana University Health included serving as system senior vice president for continuous process improvement and as the chief operating officer for Riley Hospital for Children.
For the first decade of her career, Alicia worked for HCA Healthcare in Indiana, Texas and Florida serving in roles of progressive responsibility, culminating as chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer.
Alicia is a proud Boilermaker. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University and her master’s degree in health care administration from Indiana University. Alicia is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a board member of Solutions for Patient Safety, and active with the Children’s Hospital Association.
Alicia and her husband, Patrick, reside in St. Petersburg with their four children where they love to explore the city and the great outdoors together.
