During her more than 30 years in the healthcare industry, she has excelled in providing strategic direction, vision, leadership, and oversight of operations in hospitals and healthcare systems.
Because of her successful track record, her servant leadership style, and unparalleled commitment to vision and mission, she was selected in 2017 to helm the transition of New Jersey’s largest hospital from its former for-profit management model to a new, non-profit community asset. In the words of Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, Visconi has led the most remarkable turnaround of any hospital system in the country.
In her role as President and CEO, Visconi is responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as the overall development strategy of the Medical Center’s high-quality comprehensive services, including acute and ambulatory care, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, and long-term care. Consistent with her commitment to innovating healthcare delivery, Visconi developed the concept of the Medical Center’s CareRite Now primary care centers located in select Inserra ShopRite supermarkets.
