Hooman Milani, PharmD, MBA, is the Associate Chief Pharmacy Officer for Ambulatory Care Services, at Keck Medicine of USC. In this role, he assists with the administrative oversight of enterprise ambulatory care pharmacy services and works alongside ambulatory and clinic leaders to maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards and medical center standards, practices, and procedures. He is also responsible for the creation of a long-term strategic plan for ambulatory care pharmacy services that aligns with key institutional goals.
Prior to joining Keck Medicine of USC as the Manager of Clinical Pharmacy Services in 2021, Hooman served in several pharmacy roles at Kaiser Permanente, including at the West Los Angeles Medical Center where he oversaw clinical pharmacy and drug use management activities and served as Residency Program Director for the ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency Program. Earlier in his career, Hooman was an outpatient pharmacy manager for several Los Angeles area pharmacies and a research pharmacist with the USC Health Research Association.
Hooman was named Lecturer of the Year by the USC Mann School of Pharmacy, where he is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice. He is an active member of the California Society of Health System Pharmacists and is a steering committee member for the USC Keck Iranian American Network. He holds an MBA and Doctorate of Pharmacy from USC.
