Valley Children’s Healthcare
Todd Suntrapak was chosen to lead Valley Children's Healthcare as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2012. He had served as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Valley Children's since 2005. He joined the Hospital in 1995 and has provided leadership in clinical operations as well as strategy and business development.
Todd holds a master’s degree in healthcare management and is heavily engaged in continuing education programs. This includes involvement with The Craig School of Business’ entrepreneurship program at California State University, Fresno. As a mentor in this program Todd has been part of a hands-on effort to work personally with students, sharing experience and helping ensure that the knowledge of each generation of healthcare leaders is passed on to the next.
This belief in the importance of the perpetual exchange of knowledge has led Todd to accept an invitation to join the board of The California Health Leadership College and serve as guest faculty. Supported by California’s organizational and executive leaders and the California Hospital Association (CHA), this program is wholly committed to developing the next generation of healthcare executives, boasting a faculty that includes some of the most prominent healthcare leaders in both the region and the nation.
Todd served on the Regents Advisory Council of the California Association of Health Care Leaders, is past Sierra Pacific President of the American College of Healthcare Executives and supports and serves on the boards of many other organizations that focus on helping people, including the American Red Cross and Exceptional Parents Unlimited. His passions within the realm of providing care, especially his work at Children’s, focus heavily on the role of patient safety and quality performance.
