Ajith Pai, PharmD, FACHE, has served as President of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth since July 2022. Prior to this role, Ajith served as President of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne for nearly four years. Texas Health Southwest is a CMS 5-star rated facility, ranked #14 in Texas and #1 in Fort Worth on the 2024 Newsweek’s America’s Best-in-State Hospitals list, and ranked #15 in Texas and #5 in Dallas-Fort Worth in the 2024 US News & World Report Best Hospitals list with 10 procedures/conditions noted as High Performing.
In the role of president, Ajith oversees day to day operations, works to advance physician engagement and promote effective employee, governance, and community relations. Ajith is responsible for ensuring the achievement of the hospital's goals for patient safety, clinical and non-clinical quality, operational performance and patient, physician, and employee engagement.
Ajith received his Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Texas Tech School of Pharmacy and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Ajith enjoys spending time with his family which includes his wife of 17 years, Myriam, their 9 year-old eldest daughter, Elyse, their 3 year-old son Nikhil, and their 2 year-old youngest daughter Yvette. When not spending time with his family, or at the hospital, Ajith enjoys serving his community. Ajith currently serves on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Red River Region Board, Healthy Tarrant County Collaborative Board, Treasurer of the LeadershipFW Board, and is Chair of Texas Hospital Association’s HOSPAC Board. Ajith is a proud Board member of ACHE of North Texas as well and serves this year (’24) as President-Elect, having served as the Chapter's first DEI Officer in 2023. Ajith was the 2020 national chair of ACHE’s Asian Healthcare Leaders Forum and is a founding member of ACHE of North Texas’ AHLC. Ajith was also proud to receive the 2022 Regent’s Award for his work on DEI initiatives.
