Marque (pronounced “mar KEY”) Macon is Vice President & Administrator of Ambulatory Operations & Provider Services at Inova Health. In this role, he is accountable for operations, administrative and reporting procedures, team members, and systems for 175+ physician offices, 10 service lines, over 2,100 employed providers, and over 3.2 million annual patient encounters. Mr. Macon hails from Gadsden, SC, and has over twelve years of leadership expertise in a variety of areas across the healthcare delivery spectrum including quality improvement, business development, value-based care, population health, and physician practice management. Before Inova, Marque served as Assistant Vice President of Atrium Health’s Clinically Integrated Network in Charlotte, NC. In this role, he collaborated with physicians and operational leaders to drive cost, quality, and risk adjustment efforts across the clinically integrated network comprised of over 2,700 physicians. He attained a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University and MBA from Loyola University Chicago. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Marque serves as ACHE Regent for District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. He has previously served as President of the NC Chapter of the National Association of Health Services Executives, President of the Greater Charlotte Executives Group, and adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has been honored by Becker’s Healthcare as a “Top Black Healthcare Leader to Know” and by Charlotte Business Journal as a “Top 40 Under 40” awardee. He enjoys the outdoors, physical fitness, spending time with family and friends, and all things Clemson.
