Michael Friedman, PT, MBA is Sr. Director, Strategic Programs Director and an Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He directs the Johns Hopkins Activity and Mobility Promotion (JH-AMP) program and is the Director of International Rehabilitation for the Sheik Khalifa Stroke Institute.
Mr. Friedman has more than 20 years of clinical operations experience across the care continuum, including acute hospital, post-acute care and ambulatory setting. His quality and research work has focused on value-based approaches to promoting patient activity and mobility to improve patient outcomes related to function, safety, and quality and total costs of care.
Michael Friedman is the founder and former chair of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Health System Rehabilitation Community, and he is a member of the APTA acute care academy and the APTA Leadership and Innovation academy.
