Dr. Nezar Falluji is the System Physician Vice President and Director of CommonSpirit Health National Cardiovascular Service Line, collaborating with national and divisional leadership to elevate the clinical, operational, and programmatic performance within our network of 140 hospitals, medical groups, and jointly operated facilities, that extend across 23 States. His clinical responsibilities include oversight of the 8 Clinical Councils (Interventional Cardiology, General Cardiology and Innovation, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesia, and Advance Heart Failure and Mechanical Support) and overseeing the CV operations across CommonSpirit’s 5 Regions through the work of his executive leadership team work and the annual operating performance reviews. He remains active as a practicing physician and he leads utilizing that experience to connect, guide, and support his colleagues.
Falluji is a Health Grade 2019 Five-Star Recipient for Heart Failure Management and was named a “Top Three Cardiologists” in Lexington, KY 2018-2019. Dr. Falluji attended AMU College of Medicine (Iraq), obtained his Master in Public Health from Rutgers University (NJ) and Master of Business Administration from Fitchburg State University (MA). Dr. Falluji completed his residency in Internal medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his Post-Doctoral Primary Care Health Research Fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, his Clinical Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Cardiology fellowship at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and his Interventional Cardiovascular Fellowship at the University of Kentucky.
