Dr. Wheeler received his medical degree and completed a residency in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Washington in Seattle followed by postgraduate fellowships at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in Washington, D.C. For over 20 years, he has provided patient care for Quest Diagnostics, a global laboratory services company, and currently serves in the role of Vice President of Pathology and Medical Services. His focus has been on advancing cancer diagnostics and improving the delivery of laboratory health care services through innovation via applications that include both digital pathology and artificial intelligence.
