Tad A. Gomez became president of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill., in 2019. Prior to joining Loyola, he was vice president, Professional and Support Services, at Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, Ga., where he oversaw lab, pharmacy and imaging services; facilities operations; construction; and all support services departments. Educated and trained as a pharmacist, Tad has held various pharmacy management positions in Florida, Texas and Georgia, as well as his first vice president position at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, Ga. He currently serves on the board of directors of RML Specialty Hospitals of Hinsdale and Chicago.
Tad earned his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Kansas and his Master of Science in hospital pharmacy from the Ohio State University. He also completed a 24-month pharmacy residency in health system pharmacy administration at the Ohio State University Medical Center. Tad has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
