Richard Ogden received his PharmD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy in 2007. He completed an ASHP accredited PGY-1 residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Following his residency, Richard practiced in the Emergency Department until 2011 when he became Manager for Pharmacy Critical Care Services. Richard held this role until August 2014 when he became the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services. In 2021, Richard became the Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services. He completed the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Academy in 2014. He completed the Executive MBA from the University of Missouri-Kanas City Bloch School of Management in 2016. Richard is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has been a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists Section Advisory Group for Pharmacy Practice Managers since 2015. He has been an active member of the American College for Healthcare Executives since 2015 and currently is serving as President for the Missouri Chapter of ACHE. He has been a member of the Kansas Council of Health-System Pharmacy since 2013 and served on the Education Committee. He previously served as the Residency Program Director for the PGY-1 program at Children’s Mercy Hospital from 2017 to 2022. Richard’s professional interests are multidisciplinary collaborative quality improvement initiatives, drug utilization efforts, and expansion of pharmacy services in ambulatory sites of care.
