Financial & Operational Models
This session will describe the approach used by a senior management team at an academic medical center to develop a multidisciplinary, cross-departmental structure in which to engage operational and physician leaders in solving a midyear budget shortfall. The team will describe the process that they used to establish the unifying goal, the prioritization process for ideas, the means of establishing accountability mechanisms, development of standardized reporting tools, as well as the results that they were able to achieve and sustain both short term and long term.
You will identify strategies for engaging clinical, administrative and financial leaders in a shared vision and coordinated decision-making process, operational levers and leadership strategies that drive sustainable financial results and tools and tactics to increase transparency, accountability and engagement across departments.
