Healthcare Law—The Year in Review (08X)

Healthcare law is complex and in continual evolution. Healthcare executives and leaders want to know which statutes, regulations and court decisions will have an impact on their healthcare organizations and what they must do to lead them successfully. This session covers a dozen of the most significant legal, regulatory and common law issues that require an executive management response to adapt to and even take advantage of the evolving legal environment. Significant examples will be drawn from federal statutes, executive branch regulations, Supreme Court decisions, and state Supreme Court decisions that will have an impact upon healthcare leadership and the healthcare industry as a whole. Participants will have the opportunity to bring their questions to the session and to communicate with the speaker following the session so that they can return to their management teams and respective counsel with potential strategies to modify their strategic course through their insight into the new requirements that impact their leadership goals and requirements.
