Strategy & Innovation
Sheryl Sandberg asserts that "in the future, there will be no female leaders. There will just be leaders." While the healthcare workforce is overwhelmingly women at 75%, based on a study by McKinsey & Company, representation of women drops in each successive career level to a low of 32% at the C-suite level. The same phenomenon persists in the tech industry, with females holding less than 28% of the leadership roles while being 47% of the workforce. Our organization's Center for Innovation embraces the changing models of healthcare delivery and seeks to enhance care by championing projects that promote a digital, consumer-centric approach to problem-solving while also acting as a key showcase of dedication to diversity and inclusion with females leading and acting as a driving force behind our many innovative ideas and technology initiatives. Patient and consumer demands continue to shift, and so must we in providing an unparalleled patient experience.
We are constantly innovating, working on new project and case studies to reflect our overarching mission of fostering a culture of innovation, establishing an innovative mindset to solve tomorrow's problems, and embracing new technologies to deliver unparalleled safety, quality, service and innovation. Our organization has implemented a variety of technology and digital platforms to improve the overall patient experience, such as automated communication systems, virtual health, patient biometrics tracking and robotic process automation. Three of our female innovators will talk through their journey describing successful projects, disappointments and lessons learned.
