Program Assistants


Student Associates enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate health administration program have the opportunity to earn a complimentary registration to attend the 2026 ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership by serving as a volunteer Program Assistant.

Applications are accepted from Monday, Nov. 3, until Friday, Nov. 21, at 11:59 p.m. Central time.


Engaged Attendees at an ACHE Congress Session

Application Requirements:

  • Current Student Associate of ACHE and in good standing or have recently submitted a Student Associate application.
  • Graduation date no earlier than May 2026.
  • Attend one mandatory virtual orientation session (session times have yet to be announced).
  • Be available to volunteer for no less than three (3) hours during Congress, which could include assisting with seminars, receptions and luncheons; checking name badges; or assisting Congress attendees and ACHE staff.
  • Accept responsibility for all travel, lodging and meal expenses.

Student Associates applying to work as Program Assistants should not register or pay for a Congress registration until they have been notified of their Program Assistant selection status via email on Thursday, Dec. 11. Students who are selected to serve as Program Assistants receive a complimentary Congress registration.

Selected Program Assistants will receive a separate email on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, to choose their orientation session and work hours via the Shift Scheduler. Upon completion of the Shift Scheduler, Program Assistants must make a $275 deposit to reserve their spot in the program that will be refunded four to six weeks after the successful completion of Program Assistant responsibilities at Congress. After the Shift Scheduler and deposit are completed, Program Assistants will receive confirmation to register for Congress education sessions and other activities.
